The Card family has owned and operated Card’Nal Cove Resort for almost 40 years. Bill & Pat Card began coming to what was then "Southern Dock" on their own vacations in the early 1960’s. They fell in love with the place and when the opportunity to buy it came up in 1971—they jumped at the chance!
Together, Bill & Pat held dances on Saturday nights, hosted fishing tournaments, led other horse "people" to their favorite spots, and became involved in the community, all while waking to one of the most beautiful views in East Tennessee!
Now, the second generation of Cards, along with the assistance of many, has stepped in to manage the campground. Michael Card & Patty Card Loye carry the majority of the responsibility with day-to-day operations, and making sure things are as they should be. Donna Card (Jim's wife), Tracey Card Wilson (Mike's daughter); Marilyn Burchim and Linda Card Attarian are at Patty's bidding (constantly!); while Jim Card and John Colledge lend Mike a hand whenever he yells--calls!
The crazy part is that we cannot decide who is crazier--Bill & Pat's kids or those of us who actually CHOSE to join this family/venture! But, hey, we put the FUN in dysFUNctional and invite you to come join us—we think you will love Card’Nal Cove as much as we do!
